DVD Cleaning/Restoration
Chamberlin Free Public Library is now offering CD/DVD cleaning and resurfacing services.  Have your scratched, unplayable CD/DVD restored to playable condition.  We can remove most scratches and other marks which cause the skipping and freezing of your CD/DVD.   Be aware that some deeper scratches actually remove data from the CD/DVD and cannot be repaired.  We can give a visual assessment as to whether or not the surface is repairable.  We can also repair many video games that are on CD or mini-CD’s.  To cover the cost of our repair supplies, we offer this service at $1.00 per CD/DVD.

Chamberlin Free Public Library Awarded Conservation Grant
Chamberlin Free Public Library is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Conservation Grant by the New Hampshire State Library for $9,397 to be applied to our Colombian Manufacturing Company Ledgers Preservation Project.  This project will restore and digitize some of the most important records of the Columbian Manufacturing Company, located in what was at the time, Mason Village, NH (now Greenville, NH).  This company provided the economic prosperity and social awareness for this part of the Souhegan Valley from the late 1820's well into the twentieeth century.  For the first time ever, these invaluable documents will now be available to the public for research in a digital format while restoring and preserving the original documents.  The digital version of these documents will be available at the library and on our web site when the project is completed.
